Whatever
instrument a child eventually plays, the primary instrument
is the child’s own body. A focus on solfege, eurhythmics,
reading music, elementary keyoard skills, and the rudiments
of music theory prepare this essential instrument. The goal
is a solid foundation for the artistic playing of any
instrument. At the conclusion of this year long class, the
instructor will advise the family about the choice of an
instrument and selection of a course of instruction best
able to guide the student at this stage of development.
